Vic-a-log: July 5-7

Wed. July 5

Breakfast
: Go Lean Vanilla oatmeal, extra tablespoon of plain oatmeal, oat bran and wheat germ and a little dried milk--mixed with water and nuked then served with blueberries and SFVSC; 2 slices turkey bacon, mix of sugar-free cranberry raspberry juice and pomegranite juice, coffee w/ SFVSC

mid-morning snack--"Pure Protein" bar "chocolate deluxe" flavor (made by "America's Protein Bar") while shopping at WW (190 cals, 20 grams prot., 17 g. carbs)

Lunch--lo-carb wrap stuffed with ham and pastrami (Hillshire Farms) deli meat, 3 slices Cabot's 50% fat-free Garlic and Herb Cheddar--nuked

Dinner--chicken and veggie stir fry with orange sauce, small glass of table white wine. 3 small circles of a whole-wheat baguette.

Dessert: Dreyer's/Edy's no-sugar mint chocolate chip

(I've been totally unmotivated to get out of the house today, and don't think I skimped too much, am considering going to gym or on walk, but curious to see what scales say tomorrow.)

Update--actually took a lonnnng walk with Himself, but did in fact gain a pound. Well, back to the protein shakes....

Thursday, July 6

Breakfast: new cereal combo (!!!): Special K Vanilla Almond w/ South Beach Diet hi protein cereal (both have almonds so no need to add more--did add some dried cranberries to the mix) with skim milk and blueberries; 3 slices turkey bacon; coffee w/ SFVSC

Lunch: Spirutein Cappuccino protein shake

Dinner: Filet Mignon cooked in a hunter sauce w/ lots of mushrooms and dash of red cooking wine, served over kale sauteed with garlic and sesame seeds and dash of red cooking wine; 4 small rounds of whole-wheat baguette

Dessert: Dreyer's no-sugar mint choc. chip ice cream

Activities today included chopping trumpet creeper to exhaustion in the morning and short walk in evening. in between I was totally exhausted--felt like I was drugged really and took nap before dinner--only managed to perk up with an Energy drink. Upshot---maintained weight.

Friday July 7:

Breakfast: about a cup of sliced strawberries and blueberries with generous dollop of non-fat vanilla yogurt, 2 turkey sausage links, 1/2 whole wheat english muffin w/ peanut butter, coffee with SFVC

afternoonish grazing--before gym --really tasty protein bar not sure what brand but I need to find it again! (gym did not last long--could only do 20 minutes of cardio before my prickly heat rash became unbearable--funnnnn) After groceries: 1/2 bag of Genisoy BBQ Soy chips; home from groceries took meat off a Honey Jalapeno totisserie chicken and had me the waaaangs!

Dinner: Mega dinner salad--mixed greens, sweet pepper from garden, orange pepper, radishes, olives and artichoke hearts, broccoli slaw, topped with pieces of breast of Honey Jalapeno chicken, homemade croutons from the rest of the whole-wheat baguette, and homemade guacamole (love!). Ken's fat free Italian dressing. Shared rest of white wine with himself and had cinnamon tea.

Dessert: two murray's mint choc. cookies
