Sunday, June 18th: Mah Birthday! On mah birfday, I resolved that I should stay in bed as long as I liked and not cook shit for anybody so long as the 4 children bopping around the house could find something for themselves to eat - which they did. I was assured of this when I heard the sound of the Life Cereal being consumed on the couch while they watched movies. Shall have to remember to vacuum out the couch.
Brunch at 1: BD changed plans on me, so I had to cook something - it ended up being Hot Dogs on the Fly. For me, 1 very large hot dog on unfortunate white bread bun, smothered in ketchup and mustard and baked beans. Very yummy. I made a Pasta Now thingie, but nobody liked it including me, and so Mayonnaise Lost Again. F2O.
I have this vague memory of eating some sort of snack, but damned if I can remember what it was - must not have been that good, else I have gotten my days confoozled.
Dinner at 5:30: Spaghetti a la Mama, and I only ate 1 Mama-sized portion. Very, very, very good. She accompanied it with fresh fruit - watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, raspberries, grapes, strawberries, and since the kids don't do raspberries, I ate theirs. Also accompanied with a mega salad - iceberg :p, raw broc/cauli/baby carrots, raisins, Muenster cheese cubes, cucumber, tomato, which I consumed with light ranch dressing. This was followed by a box devil's food cake with a simple sugar glaze, and I only ate 1 normal sized square. Oh, and 1 piece of garlic bread. All in all, it was quite the feast. That, and lots of tea, de rigeur.
After that, there was no room for anything else!
June 19th: Horse Lady's birthday
Breakfast. . . I got to work 5 minutes early, so that means I skipped breakfast. Huh. Did manage to take with me a bottle of water, to which I added my Crystal Light on the Go packet.
Lunch at 1:30: I meant to have a small one, but splurged on a large baked potato stuffed with cheese, butter, sour cream, bacon and smothered steak. More water, though!
Snack: I ate something. . . what was it? I think I'm in trouble if I can't remember from one day to the next what I ate or didn't eat. . . or maybe I didn't, since I knew I was going out to dinner. I had to have had some tea somewhere - just doesn't seem possible that I wouldn't have.
Dinner at 7: At a locally owned seafood joint called Jim's with Horse Lady, Work Mama, WM's Cousin Alkie and Big LaFaye - Horse Lady knows the owner, and we were celebrating her and my birthdays. Lessee. . . margarita on the rocks with salt. About 4 raw oysters on saltines with cocktail sauce. Glass of merlot. Glass of chardonnay. Fried shrimp (delightful), grilled scallops (tasted and felt like rubber in the mouth), nasty, unseasoned, disgusting, tasteless, poorly prepared broccoli (should have gone with the salad instead) and the most wonderful, huge Idaho potato beer battered french fries I have ever tasted. Sipped on a Sprite while I waited for the buzz to go away so I could drive home. And that was it!

Okay---you lost me, Diet Hawk Lady, big time on the smothered potato and the battered fries... That lunch just goes to show why one should *always* eat breakfast--ie. to avoid such a lunch...
Do yourself a favor and invest in a box or two of protein bars to grab on just such occasions as running too late for breakfast, or for afternoon snacks. I recommend South Beach Diet hi-protein cereal bars (in the aisle where all other cereal bars are) or hey, try to find the Pria bars (they come in snack calories-110-170 to meal-replacement calories -200+; also Luna bars are quite tasty. Now I know that you have INSISTED that you can't find Pria or Luna bars, but I'm here to tell you that they ain't some fancy-schmancy thing only in specialty shops up North! DAMMIT I HAVE FOUND THEM AT WALLY-WORLD FER GODSAKES! And in my local grocery store. They are almost always in the dietetic section of Wally's-- that is not on the grocery side; it's where you find your diabetic supplies, diet pills, and diet shakes. In the grocery stores they also seem to be in similar spots, rather than with cereal bars or candy--at ours they are with other dietary things--specialty sugar-free stuff, meal-replacement and protein shakes and etc.
